FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the room for my presentation?
Just dowload the pdf  from iartem.org/www

How long is the presentation supposed to be?
Please prepare a presentation lasting not more than 20 minutes so we have at least 10 minutes for questions and discussion following each presentation.

In what setting will the presentations take place, is it a round-table or an ordinary stand-up presentation?
You will have an ordinary stand-up presentation.

Will there be necessary equipment to use PowerPoint?
Yes, we have computers, videoprojectors and wirelesss internet in all rooms but please inform us if you need loudspeakers.

Somewhere I have read that the actual paper doesn´t need to be ready until a month after the presentation, is that correct or am I supposed to bring the paper to the actual conference?
That information must be a mistake. You are not supposed to hand in a written manuscript in advance. Just make an oral presentation optionally supported by digital resources like PowerPoint, sound, video etc. After the conference you have the opportunity to submit a manuscript to be included in the planned conference volume. We will send out information and guidelines about this shortly after the conference.

Will there be school visits?
We are sorry to inform you that all the schools we contacted were reluctant to receive visitors, so we had to cancel that part of the programme. However we will have a session on Thursday 28 from 14–16 16–18 with 11th grade students coming to the university to discuss the theme “Changing media – changing schools?”.

How do I find the buildings?
Please have a look at the map.
